It has finally snowed here it is January and it come down good the boys where so excited they have played in it every day some times twice. Adien loves the tier swing and even in the snow its still fun.

Max treats snow like cold wet sand and has to have all his sand toys to play in it he also likes to sled but his favorite thing is snowballs!!

AHHHHH....... its a snow baby he liked it for a hole 2 mins and ten hated it because he could not crawl with all the added fluff and he had no hands (so he thought) . It also could have been the face plant he did trying to crawl or the rolling he could not control.

The tree is up and there are no ornaments at alex reach although he loves to crawl under the tree. My yard is also done although i am sad to say my 2 small reindeer no longer light up and i have lost one of my mini trees. I could go through and check every little light but who has time to do that.

Alex has also grown fond of the fireplace we have a cover for the dangerous and sharp bricks on its way wish it had got here a few days ago. Alex can see himself in the glass and thats his attraction he loves the baby smiling back at him. He has also learned how to army crawl and is already working on he hands and knee rock. His latest discovery is the dvd rack its so fun to pull them all out and tasty every one of them.

Alex has not really been sleeping for the last week because he has broken in three teeth his fangs and one bottom one he is supper happy when his not stuffed up from the runny nose that comes with the breaking of fangs!

The boys had a great time out with there favorite friend and Max's second mom lol Autumn and Tanya. We did out trick-or-treating in North Liberty. In this picture Max said thank you Grandma ( all grandmas are grandmas).

Max only tripped over his clock 3 times and fell down the stairs before me took it off him.

Nauvoo Temple

We had a lovely tip to Nauvoo here is a great picture taken by mom on our last evening before heading home. This is a very special picture will all the ones i have posted are because the day i loaded them into my computer my software crashed and deleted all my pictures. Thankfully i have a awesome husband thats smarter then my camera and found rescued them from the abyss. oooh did i mention Max decided that this trip was the perfect time to potty train. You know there are like only 5 pottys in the hole town and they are miles apart.

On October 30th at 4pm Alex was blessed by his Papa Bri in the relief society room along with president Anderson and Brother Russel from our old word along with our new Bishop. Dad and Mom along with Grandma Hepworth flew in for this blessed day. We had our close friends Tanya and Jill there we also had tasty treats with lemonaid what a great blessing.

It was a bad day to take pictures Max screamed the hole time and this is the best picture we could get . Now this bottom one its my story picture i am sure by now you have figured it out if not Luke has gone crazy and mortally wounded Aniken and is about to take out the unsuspecting Yoda. A night i do not want to relive on the bright side they gave me 25$ off my next visit for the lack of good pictures.

Pumpkin fun

The kids and i took a trip to Wilsons orchard with our friends to pick pumpkins Adien had to have just the right one and this year it was a long one that had to lay on its side but it was perfect!

Max had yo get one he could carry so he picked out a pie pumpkin it was a larger one. Alex just wanted to eat the grass he had no interest in the pumpkins.

All the kids loved the tractor ride through the orchard there are no apples left on the trees but when the season is right you just go on out there and pick a basket and pay for them i hear they are fabulous!!

We also had there apple turnovers and candy apples and pumpkin butter all made fresh there at Wilson's farm and it was tasty. After a long day at the orchards we headed to Tanya's house to carve them up.

So today i got to take a nap only because both Max and Alex are sick. well Andrew is sick also so he was still in bed at 9am when i put the boys down for a nap. I woke up to oooh Max what is all over you? and Andrew saying don't move don't touch anything i am going to take a picture. I got up and there was Max covered from head to toe in powder hummmm Baby powder, flour, or formula............ ya it was formula and with that was a over powering smell of floral Lysol ugh!!!

Ya Max used a hole can of it in the living room on the formula mess and the sofa and his blanket. I vacuumed and wiped it all down ans opened the door to air out the front room to no avail. I will try again tomorrow before family arrives all i can say is my living room is germ free and very clean.

Oh the excitement of being a scout Mom! Thankfully Andrew is a eagle Scout and has assumed all responsibility over the scout stuff i just have to keep on them both about it. Adien was not excited about it at first and he will still tell you its boring and he would rather stay home and watch tv. Andrew is determined to make Adien go all the way just like his dad did to him and later in life Adien will be glad he did.

Every year for the last 3 years we have combined Adien's and Max's Birthday party's this year we did chuck-e-cheese and the boys loved it we have 7 kids including max and Adien. Here is videos of the boys in the ticket blaster they have to grab as many as they can so they can get cool prizes!

The boys picked a killer whale to go on there cake now i had it all planed out and it was going to look supper cool but as i started to decorate i found i was missing all the tips i need to do the cake so i did my best at hand painting it on and left off all the extra fun stuff i had planed :(

The blue around it was suppose to be colored in in all different shades of blue with wave borders. Ta the end of the day the boys had a great time with friends and got pizza and prizes i say it was a hit!!

Adien also got 2 cards in the mail from Grandma Hepworth and Grandma Gould Max was helpful and opened them for him. Adiens birthday was celebrated by having people from church over to paint our house but there was pizza. I did make Adien a special cack plum and blueberry upside down cake.

Max ans Adien both had a dentist appointment and max was soooo cute he hammed it up for everyone. He started out the visit by saying yes to every flavor of past they offered and then tried to lick the moving cleaning brush as she was working in her mouth. the next step was to bite the dentist when he said to but he forgot to specify how hard eeekk. Over all both boys had a bill of clean health. I walked out with no bill i call that a win!!

Adiens First day

Adien started at his new school this week and boy is it a mess to park in and i could not find the office to save my life. Adien was so excited the night before he did not sleep. He looked like a zombie as we talked to the office lady who then informed me she forgot to tell the teacher about Adien. Now i had called a month ago to inform them of the transfer and the late start he would have and she noted it just did not let anyone else know including his old school. Adien almost had another day off for summer because she did not think the teacher would have a desk for him. Lucky us she did and Adien also get to take the school bus to school i have to say i have mixed feelings about it i remember what it was like to ride the bus kids can be mean and there really is no adult supervision. On the other had dragging all 3 boys out in the morning and in the winter does not sound like fun. Adien says he has 4 friends and he likes the school.

Long Summer

This summer has been the longest one ever!!! Now that summer is over we are taking a family vacation! The plan was to fly to Arizona have my Dad pick us up so we could have dinner with my family including grandma villa and pick adien up. Well it started out bad that very morning we got the call from Andrews Mom, grandpa Hepworth had passed away that morning in his sleep. We all decided that all us us should go to the funeral and support our family. We had a ride set up to take us to the airport 2 hours early because flying with 2 small kids makes for a hard time through security. We made great time and cleared security just to sit in the airport for a extra 2 hours got to love delayed flights. The delayed flight took time away from my family time and i have to say it made me upset. The next morning we drove to California 6 hours with 5 small children and mom and dad volunteered to ride with all of them in the van it was sweet silence for me and meg. Have any of you gone to a convenience store and found that it was not convenient well thats the gas station by the beach house has everything in the world BUT what you need. The beach house was great the view beautiful and the bed hard as a rock ugh....... But have no fear there is still time for the beach before we fly out to utah the kids love it Max is playing in the waves Adien is buggy boarding and Alyssa is eating sand. Me and Meg are jumping waves and they are kicking our butts!! Our turn to buggy board! we are catching some great waves tell one pummels me and i catch my footing by standing on a sting ray he was not amused and it was painful. I made it back to the beach to have dad take a look and then sat there in pain for 30 mins as we tried to get a hold of Andrew and figure out how to get me up 109 stairs up the bluff.

My foot had started to swell and i could not move my toes it also started to turn fun colors.
We finally got a hold of Andrew who was in the middle of a shower covered in soap and he jumped out and dressed excited he was going to have to pee on his wife. OHHH did i mention that the text we sent was miss read by my brother-in-law Eric that i had been stung by a jelly fish ya good times. Andrew noticed right away it was not a jelly fish sting and knew i was in a great deal of pain. I still managed to get him to take these great pictures to document the occurrence. After a few mins Andrew had the lifeguards on there way and a ambulance weighting for me at the top of the public beach a few miles down.911 what a useful number to use lol.
What a day at the beach and and by the way the way they treat a sting is by putting the stung area and scolding hot water it dissipates the proteins that the stinger injected. Mom did call our Doctor / uncle who i quote " The terrible burning pain with stop in a few hours". As i am being loaded in the truck to be hauled away a large wave took Max off his feet and was taking him out to sea mom saved him but he lost his cup the was the beginning of the trauma to Maxs beach experience. By dinner it was fine tender but no burning pain. The next morning we woke at 4:30am to drive 2 hours to the airport with 5 tiered kids (sounds like fun right). The airport was a mad house and they refused to help us out with our seating by the way they had us all separated even the small kids from each other. The other people on the plane where happy to help i mean come on no one wanted to sit next to a grumpy tiered 2 year old right. The air plane its self was awesome free drinks and snacks and tv!!!! At our arrival we had to pickups thats what happens when you are traveling in 11 people groups. We arrived at grandmas and the kid where excited to see her and play freely. Grandma got to see Alexander for the first time.
Grandpas service was sweet and the funeral itself was even better. Meg and Hannah sang a song that mom had wrote called "Peace". Matt gave a great overview of grandpas life with some of grandpas humor. Curtis looked snazzy in grandpas suite and gave a great talk on the family through grandpas eyes. At the barrel Andrew and other men from the family carried grandpa to the site. Andrew has a major injury to his neck that causes massive pain and the lass of feeling in his arm, he said as he carried grandpa he felt no pain. The military come out to show there respect for there fallen man and grandpa was honored with a 9 gun salute. His flag that layed over his casket was folded in a ceremonial manner and handed to grandma. We returned to the church for a lunch-en before we had to fly back to California. Thia gave us time to visit and share our memories and story's with family. it was also a chance to see the little ones we had not met .
The plane ride back was just as fun as the ride up. As we arrived we still had time to hit the beach before dinner and the kids where not complaining well Max was. The poor kid held on to all the beach toys and would scream look out every time a wave came in. The next morning brought great happyness to the kids because we where going to Sea World! Shamu and the dolphins and seals all great shows. The shark exhibit is a favorite in the family even the kids.
We all where exhausted when we got back to the beach we all crashed after dinner so we could hit the beach one last time. What a crazy summer we all had.

My baby is so big hes in the 97% for weight and 78% height and 15% head he has learned to sit up and has found that those toes are his and he can grab them. Alex has also become a master at rolling on to his tummy.

We finally got the keys to our place and then immediately wanted to give them them back!!! We got the call around 11am saying we could come get the keys before noon because they would be closing then. The girl on the phoen says the place is really dirty really really dirty so i am thinking ok they did not clean at all that's fine i can do it. When we arrived at our new place we where confused there where men moving stuff out of the house so i called the office they where closed. I finally called the emergency number and was able to reach someone. The girl that called use earlier should have told us that they had people there moving out all the previous tents things and dumping them. The guy had gone crazy and trashed the house left everything down to dishes in the dishwasher and food in the fridge. All the doors where missing or had huge holes in them and there was not a wall that did not have more then 30 nails/screws in it. The master closet had a baby food jar screwed in to the wall along with other things???? i know right. The dog hair was a inch think around every wall and the smell of urine was over whelming. The house was infested with bugs and a mouse. We could not move in tell it was emptied and cleaned i got right to work chucking the guys stuff down the stairs and throwing away trash we called in rob to bring cleaning stuff and watch Alex and the word moved all our stuff in to the garage. We avoided 131$ storage fee by moving it that day. We cleaned for 8 hours before the carpet cleaners arrived we would be able to move our things in the next morning. Sunday morning comes around and its just me Andrew and Alex moving everything in to the house before mom and Max arrived the next day. Andrew broke his toe moving the sofa in first thing next the tv stand and shelf's then me moved in all the beds. Half way throught we beged for help and the missionary's and Brother Anderson came to our rescue and moved every box in to its rightful place. The next day we got Max and Mom and continued to clean and unpack. Mom tackled the job of cleaning the stove(example of nastiness), 6 hours later........ it looked great! Moms last night with us i cooked a great dinner and the AC kicked the bucket ugh to 89 degrees inside with high humidity we called the ac guy and had it fixed before dinner it need to be cleaned charged and a new compressor. Andrew and i have ripped out all the over grown foreleg around the house and taken out the molded carpets in the basement now we are working on painting the inside walls and wood work ( anyone wanna come paint??). I will have pictures of the mess later to post

Homeless adventure!

OK! so we moved from our town home in to a house but to do that we where homeless for 10 days with a 3 month old. Sounds exciting doesn't it well.............it was more then that! Our Adventures took us to several key places like St. Luis, Chicago and Mammoth Cave. The first morning out of the town home was quick and easy i did not get to clean the place as well as i would have had i had a day with no stuff in the house but it was not a option. We where charged 90$ for cleaning and other odds and ends. Alex was great on the road St. Luis was not to far away and we made great time on the way there we stopped at the Butterfly house oooohhhh how i love the Butterfly house!! It was amazing!! I could have spent all 10 days there even in the humid and hot atmosphere that was created for the butterflies all where tropical species over 2000 of them fluttering around. We had to keep moving so we left the butterfly's and headed to Big Foot. I mean who does not stop to see Big Foot! The day was almost over and we need to set up camp and make dinner the drive to our camp site was ridiculous take a right at the junk yard and just past the trailer yards take a right lol. The bugs where bad are me alive total bites 32 the baby had 1 and Andrew a hole 3. Did i mention that it was hot and i mean hot and humid 98 and 200% it was so bad we drove to walmart to walk around to stay cool. The next morning we headed out to the arch then headed right back to camp to break down and get a hotel there was no way we where going to stay there 3 more nights. They where very nice about giving us our money back because we had a small baby. For about a hour we searched for a hotel and we finally settled on one the cheapest and the only one ran by a white person that spoke English. The hotel was built on to a bar and had a total of 15 rooms at 45$ a night the place was run down but it had ac and a shower. After unloading we headed back to the arch for our rid to the top in small egg like capsules that seated five. Now if you all dont know i am claustrophobic so i was a bit concerned when the crate stared to rock a bit but i made it. After we walked through the inside museum we headed to a fairy boat ride it was nice and cool inside and the ride was relaxing. Heading to the hotel exhausted for a good nights sleep was great tell the next morning when i discovered BED BUGS!!!!!!!!!! We fought them off the last two nights. Alex had a baby tent we had him sleep in so nothing could get him NOTHING! We spent a day at the Zoo soooo awesome the zoo was free to get in to parking was 11$ what a deal! We kept to all the aced exhibits to stay cool in the heat and Alex loved the penguins. We also did the Beer ture for Andrews amusement and it was kinda cool. Our last day we checked out the snooty mall. Andrew desided that he always wanted a traditional shave and payed a rediculouse amount of money for it and checked it off on his i need to do list.We also did the science museum that was free to get in to and aced. Our next drive was long and we thought we where lost no people anywhere and no working gas stations for miles. Mammoth Cave was so cool we did camp out for a night and did 2 cave walks and one hike. The caves are 55 degrees year round it was awesome! Our night was not bad had a bit of rain to cool us down and bring the humidity down a bit. The where no misquotes thank you cave bats! We also had a pet deer i named her lily and she would come running when Alex would cry soo sweet. Andrew could not handle the camping anymore so we left early and cut our trip by 3 days and headed to Chicago we did not make it all the way there but we did manage to find a nice hotel in a bad part of town and slept great. The next morning we drove in to Chicago and make our way to the museum to see Sue the t-rex. The place was amazing and we saw as much as we could in 6 hours! We had a guide that reminded us of Andrews Dad. Sooo if we had not had enough adventures for one week we tried to navigate down town Chicago during rush hour to check out this great pizza place Sally had suggested. We where lost and almost hit several people walking in the street but we found it and did not stop to eat parking was 30$ yikes so not worth it. We headed back to Coralville to stay with our home teacher brother Russel we are so thankful for them letting us stay in there basement. We should have stayed there the hole time we had a pool table and pingpog table tv and games and AC. What a adventure!

Vegas Baby!!!

My sister is getting married in Vegas!!! So here we are in a car with 3 kids and 4 adults driving 6 hours to vegas and boy was it a tight squeeze. The kids did a great job Alex was not impressed with the amount of time he spent in his car seat (he hates his car seat).

This is our hotel room that was not ready when we got there because the rooms with double beds are first come first serve even if you reserved them and payed for them go figure. The rooms where high class with feather down pillows and beds it was awesome we also had a 52" tv!!
Here comes the bride i was lucky to be the one to get my sister ready for her special day even better i got to do it twice lol!!! My sister and her husband forgot to get there marriage license and where lucky they where able to go get it that day and the chapel had a opening that night.

all these guys went to high school with me including the groom small world right!

The cake was made special by my sister Amber and my mom hand painted all the flowers and butterfly's on her cake.
This was the coolest thing at our hotel there was a shark tank in the pool!!!! Now see the tube like thing down the center that's a water slide !!! I was not able to do anything in Vegas but hang in the hotel room with kids. i was sad i did not get to go to the pool :(

Arizona Trip

This was Alexanders first flight not in my belly and i found this cute outfit! He was very good the hole flight and did not sleep.

During our visit we got to party with Briley on her 3rd birthday!! Amber made her a Tinkerbell cake we had a small party with close friends and family.
My daddy filled up the pool for the boys on a hot day and was so hot from all the hard work he joined them! Max loves the slide and Adien love to splash papa with the bucket of water.

Grandma Villa come down a few days early then planed to spend some extra time with us it was great to see her.

My garden is growing outside and the first of 5 tulips have bloomed by next month i will have 3 kinds of flowers in my garden! Then in July i will move away from it and plant a new one in our new place.

Alexander thinks he needs to eat when he is awake even if he just ate the last few weeks i have had mastitis and my supply was low so Alex has had a few bottles. Max loves feeding him but it gets boring after a a short time. Now Max has frosting all over his face in this picture also so its got lots of fun things going for it. Max also put the blanket on Alex too because he was cold so he says.

Andrews Birthday

For Andrews Birthday i made him a home made German chocolate cake the icing did not work out it tastes great very rich Andrew likes it. He calls it baby vomit icing so appetizing. For his birthday we got him 2 new games for xbox. Andrew did not even know how old he was hes not big in to holidays but hes very much in to cake !!

Fire station

Both boys are driving the fire truck!
Every year the fire stations do a community breakfast and let all the kids play in the fire trucks. The Boys played on the Fire trucks for 2 hours and they both want to be fireman when they grow up so they say. The boys also played on the pole inside Max loved having me hold him up as high as i could and letting him slide down it. The truck in the pictures is there favorite one out of 4 we have a rescue, later, and 2 hose trucks we also have a atv and a boat. The only thing the kids did not get to play with is the gear Max really wants one of there hats but has no idea its as heavy as he is. To top off our outing there was a family of ducks waddling to the pond on our way to the car a mommy and 7 baby's.

The Big Day (Night)

Well as most of you know we where blessed with a 8.1lbs 35 week baby boy on March 19th 2011 at 11:31pm what most of you dont know is the interesting story that goes with his entry into this world. It stared on the 17th i was starting to feel sick as my poor Adien was vomiting like crazy that night and i thought it was just because he had gone out to play with a friend and had eaten lots of junk food. The next day he was still sick as a dog and i also was not feeling well i figured we had picked up the stomach flue thats been going around. As i tended to my sick 7 year old i noticed i was contracting every 1-2 min well it was Friday so Andrew was not home he was in Ceader Rapids playing Warhammer (toy soldiers). I finally decided to call him and say "hunny are you on your way home?" hes said not yet i say "you need to come now!!!!" I call our over night sitter and we head to the hospital. My doctor was not on call for another 8 hours so i had her associate there, she for the lack of words said your not in labor go home that's before i vomited all over the place. I have come to realize that most women are big babys during labor and scream and cry and here i am walking out of the hospital in labor at 3 1/2 centimeters. When we got home i took 2 tylonal pms and put myself to bed around 5 am Andrew gets out of bed and runs to the bathroom, wouldn't ya know we all had food poisoning. I finally crawl out of bed around 7 am and crawl in to the shower and vomit for a hour (sorry for the crossness of it all) I am on day 2 of no food and minimal fluids, my doctor is finally on call and i give her a buzz about what happened last night and how i am feeling she tells me to come in and get fluids right away. As some of you may know i fell on the ice at 30 weeks and started my labor and put a small rip in my sack. After 5 weeks of ultrasounds my fluids where up but 2 days of dehydration was not looking good for my situation. Right as i came in they hooked me up and noticed i was contracting every 4 mins i was given the IV and she checked me and wouldn't you know i was 5 centimeters i was then given an antibiotic and a anti-nausea medicine and walked over to a delivery room. Apparently they dont have many mommy's that can walk to the delivery room in labor go figure i freaked all the nurses out as i texted during labor and walked around talking on the phoen as i progressed to 7 centimeters. I deliver all my babys with no drugs another uncommon occurrence here in Iowa. As i was ready to push so was the other women that where delivering 35 week baby as well so i muscled through i few more mins of contractions tell Dr. Goodman was there to catch him. I started to push and Andrew said " you have got to be kidding" and ran to the bathroom to vomit. he came back in time for me to push out the head and on my second push out came Alexander! Right after i delivered him my doctor said "hes huge!" and then she ran out of the room to deliver a 3rd 35 week baby. Poor Alexander had a purple face and head i guess he came out so fast it bruised him, Andrew said he looked like a zombie baby with the maconium still on and the purple face. Out of nowhere a nurse come over and injected me with patosin i could not believe she did that without telling me why or anything i just endured a drug free labor and delivery and then she gives me patosin!! I was and still am bitter and i have to just say this i am still bleeding and i should not be and i am going to blame it all on that injection that was given for no reason!!Alex's sugar levels where a bit low at birth but who could blame him poor thing i had not eaten in 2 days. I had them bring him over so i could nurse him and he latched right on and went to town for a hour he would have eaten longer but they need to do some testes on him. I walked to my new room and waited for them to bring me my baby he was getting a full work up under the watchful eye of his daddy. The nurse said they where confused in the nursery as they brought in 3 35 week baby's and mine was huge they questioned the nurse "are you sure??" i mean ya hes going to look huge next to 2 5lbs baby girls hes a healthy growing boy! Alex was jaundiced but it was nothing some good old sun could not fix. The hospital sent a nurse to our home to do his 4 day check he had almost gained his birth weight back. At Alex's 2 week check he had gained a hole pound and freaked the doctor out with his rolling from his back to side and his great head control. Right now he is in the 65% for weight and length and 25% for head.

At Alex's 33 week ultrasound he measuring 6lbs and a week ahead of his due date. The fluid is low but it has not gone down the levels are just above 5 the lowest we could go is below 4. We have our 34 week ultrasound this Friday!

Max's is practicing for when his brother gets here. He has been diapering and wipping his baby doll Nate. Max also makes sure to take Nate for a walk in his stroller and gives him snacks. This is his baby Nate with one of Max's diapers its as big as the doll so i pulled out a size 1 diaper i had saved for Baby Alex and gave it to max for his baby its a much better fit.

Updates on the baby are as follower the fluids are very low just under 5% if the fluids drop below 4% they will have to take him early. The baby is measuring 4.9lbs and is about a week ahead of my due date. As for the shortness of breath and the lack of appetite we found that my placenta is right on top and pushing in to my stomach and lungs and Alex loves to put his feet in to my lungs. We will be check on the baby every few days and a ultrasound every Friday to check the fluid levels so if it does drop they will induce me right then at the hospital.

I have not been much for emails or calls this last week i fell on the ice and started to go in to labor had to go to the hospital and stop it. We had a ultrasound a few days ago and the fluid is low around the Baby they think i might have a small rip in my sack. Yesterday morning as i was getting up off the floor after changing Max i lost my mucus plug and some fluid. i have a ultrasound and a doctors visit and a non stress test at the hospital scheduled for next week. Depending on the ultrasound we will know where we stand on his arrival if my fluids are even lower i will have to have updated ultrasounds every few days tell the levels are to low and they will have to take him out. There is a chance the rip might repair its self and the plug could grow back. Over all falling on the ice was a bad idea all together.

With his eyesight developing, he may be able to see the light that filters in through your womb. he's also developing billions of neurons in his brain and adding more body fat in preparation for life in the outside world.

This is my baby Alex here he demonstrating that he is in fact my son because that is his finger he is sucking so aggressively. During the ultrasound i noticed he was sucking his thumb now i have a thumb sucker already and if any of you remember Max would suck his toes in all his ultrasound pictures. So heirs Alex sucking his thumb happy as can be and then he loses the thumb ooooh nooo he freaks out arms flying every where feet going crazy and then he finds his face and a finger hahahah that will work and started to go to town on it! The actual view from the big screen in the ultrasound room you could see the bone of the finger in his mouth and the swallowing.

This is also a common pose for him in the last 2 ultrasounds this is his face and his hands on each cheek. I love this face!

Our stage 2 ultrasound showed the cysts are still present in his brain. This is caused by a back up in the arterys from the brain to the spinal cord the back up is spinal fluid that builds up and causes a cysts to form he has a blockage in both. The fetal Neralagest feals really good about the ultrasound Alex shows no anther signs that point to any permanent damage the only sure way to know is amniocentesis that has a risk to it. I opted not to have it done because i think he will be just fine he is moving and growing the way he should be. We have decided on the name Alexander and the boy still want to just call him Alex and that works just fine also! I think Adien, Max and Alex sounds great!

Now i know what your thinking how did he have time to care for his baby when he was being a destructive 2 year old can i just say hes good! Max took his baby to the store in his stroller and made sure he was rapes up in his blanket because it was cold out side. Baby Alex as he calls it even slept in bed with him last night.

We landed in phoenix-meas airport at 10:55pm Max had to pull his own bag.

Great Grandma Pearl's funeral was nice she looked peaceful, Grandpa refused to leave the house he did not want to see her like that. Uncle Rip managed to get him there 30 mins late. Grandpa had one thing to say "before she died she was warm and now she is cold as ice". Adien was upset we where leaving her at the grave, he thought we where forgetting to take her with us. On our way home Uncle Shawn was admitted to the ICU and had died twice. My mom was very upset because the day Grandma died she had a dream that Grandma came to her and said " I have to take one of you with me" mom said "take me" grandma said " i cant you have to much sin i have to take Shawn". My uncle Shawn is now stable and going to be undergoing heart surgery tomorrow.

The Boys made Christmas ornaments and painted them and sugar cookies!

We made our traditional dinner stop to see Julie Adien became a master chopsticker and Max tried.

Our last morning with my side of the family was spent at a special breakfast with Papa at the Village Inn. We also played with Bowen and Briley so i could go see uncle Shawn at the hospital.

Baby is swallowing more these days, which is good practice for its digestive system. baby is also producing meconium, a black, sticky by-product of digestion. SO this is a great comparison on how much the baby has grown the top picture is at 4 weeks along and the bottom picture is at 17 1/2 weeks. In the last 17 weeks we have moved had a job scare fallen down the stairs twice and was called to be word missionary secretary and had 2 colds. I am overwhelmed typing the mile stones we have overcome. Yet the baby has not had any issues growing and has no idea of the mess of things that have gone on around it. Our ultrasound has been moved to end of the month because Andrew had to go out of town.

16 Weeks and counting!

Get ready for a growth spurt! In the next few weeks, the baby will double his weight and add inches to length. Right now, baby is 4 1/2 inches long (head to rump) and 3 1/2 ounces. Babys legs are much more developed, head is more erect than it has been, and its eyes have moved closer to the front of its head. the ears are close to their final position, too. The patterning of the babys scalp has begun, though its locks aren't recognizable yet. The babys even started growing toenails. And there's a lot happening inside as well. For example, the heart is now pumping about 25 quarts of blood each day, and this amount will continue to increase as baby continues to develop.

This year Adien got to go trick or treat with his friends and there mom(hes to big to go with Max hes slow). So i have no pictures of Adien trick or treating :( Max made it around 1 block and about 7 apartments in our complex you know all our friends that love Max to death and let him take as much candy as he wants. On the way around the block he made sure to keep a piece of candy in his mouth at all times.

One of the houses we stopped at had a witches broom that moved all on its own and mad scary music Max stayed way back from it and yelled "ooooooooooo so scary!!" Max also had a hard time with his buddy kadien stepping on his tail as they walked together, both where dinos :)

baby can now squint, frown, grimace, pee, and possibly suck his thumb! Thanks to brain impulses, his facial muscles are getting a workout as his tiny features form one expression after another. The kidneys are producing urine, which he releases into the amniotic fluid around it a process he'll keep up until birth. He can grasp, too, and if you're having an ultrasound now, you may even catch the baby sucking its thumb.

baby's stretching out. From head to bottom, he measures 3 1/2 inches and he weighs 1 1/2 ounces. its body's growing faster than his head, which now sits upon a more distinct neck. By the end of this week, his arms will have grown to a length that's in proportion to the rest of its body. baby is starting to develop an ultra-fine, downy covering of hair, called lanugo, all over its body. baby's liver starts making bile this week and its spleen starts helping in the production of red blood cells. Pumpkin carving is the boys only time to get dirty without getting in trouble. this year the boys picked out cooking pumpkins to carve and can i just say they are not easy to carve. Max's says BOO and adien made a dragon on his. Our big pumpkin is a kitty in a witches boot. Max had pumpkin seeds all over the dinning room rug and all over him.

This the view we had as we where walking back to the path now looking at this picture would you think there was a gully just a few feet away? We did not think so either!
This is the tree i shimmied up to get out of the gully mind you i am 3 month pregnant.
Now this is funny Jessica decided because she has slip on and a skirt that she would just walk across carrying Max and her 6 month old. She tosses he shoes across the gully and started over as she started to cross she started to sink first to her ankle unfortunately the next step sunk in to her hips. As you can see the water is only 3 inches deep. as she is struggling to keep the kids dry and pull he leg out of the soft muddy water i was shimming up the tree to avoid getting wet.

Her is Jessica's foot prints as she made it across with both kids and had to go back for her 2 year old that was still on the other side of the gully. We did make it to the path and back to the car!! We then headed to the drive through at sonic(we had no intentions of going in to any place looking the way we did) because we had 2 cranky and hungry 2 year olds that where starving.

Max received birthday cards today from his Great Grandmas. Grandma Hepworth sent him stickers and this is what he did with them. I have found stickers everywhere in my room on my clothes and in Max's hair! He also got a card from Grandma Gould she sent him a check Max was so excited when i took him to the build-a-bear store and let him pick out whatever he wanted! Max came home with a zuzu pet and a buzz light year outfit for his coco bear. i will post a picture as soon as Max stops acting like a animal. This year i combined the boys birthdays i chose the 30th that put the party right in the middle of there birthdays. We had a fun party with 6 friends at the par-tee zone fun house. The kids played hard for 2 hours and had cupcakes and juices. They all played great together and had a blast i spent a total of $61.77 on the party for both kids i think i came out cheaper then if i would have done the party separately, also the par-tee place cleans up after you!! At the end of the day i was still exhausted. Max and Adien made out like bandits they got some great stuff!

Today was bring your parent to school day for Adien. I was not able to go because i had no babysitter for Max so Andrew got the morning off to attend the event. Lets just say we are not impressed by the way things are done in his class i do not know if its done this way in all classes. The kids where separated in to groups and sent to different stations. In each station they had a lesson but get this there was no supervisiona and no direction by a adult. Now i understand when you do a station type set up the teacher can not be in each place and yes the classroom is small but she could be walking around to each station and keeping order. Adien was at the computer station he was talking to friends and playing with a bacugan he had brought to school with him ( he will be in trouble for that). He was bulled out of the bacugan by a girl that would not be his friend if he did not give it to her for keeps. Well of course Adien complied he is a sweet thing. He also was being bullied by the class bully i was not informed about it tell today it happend last week. We had no idea this bulling was going on tell Andrew saw it for him self. They soon moved on to reading and they partnered up in the group Adien was partnered up with the bully who is a great reader so Adien sat back and allowed her to do all the reading, OK so he is not practicing his reading when he is partnered with this girl so again not learning and being bulled. Because Andrew was present he pulled Adien to the side and made him read him a book so Adien felt accomplished. The only station he excelled at was the teacher station where he was not bulled and was allowed to speak up. This station was word recognition and Andrew said he did very well. The teacher sent Andrew home with a pamphlet on bullying and what to do and a 3 questionnaire about how the visit was it really had nothing to do with the class more of your experience there the last question asked if you had any questions for your child's teacher. Should i be looking in to a different school?

My new resident is nearly an inch long (about the size of a grape ) and weighs just a fraction of an ounce. baby seahourse is starting to look more and more human. baby seahourse essential body parts are accounted for, though they'll go through plenty of fine-tuning in the coming months. Other changes abound, baby's heart finishes dividing into four chambers, and the valves start to form as do baby seahourse tiny teeth. The embryonic "tail" is completely gone. our baby's organs, muscles, and nerves are kicking into gear. The external sex organs are there but won't be distinguishable as male or female for another few weeks( next ultrasounds is in 2 weeks). baby seahourse eyes are fully formed, but baby seahourse eyelids are fused shut and won't open until 27 weeks. baby seahourse has tiny earlobes, and its mouth, nose, and nostrils are more distinct. The placenta is developed enough now to take over most of the critical job of producing hormones. Now that your baby's basic physiology is in place, baby seahourse poised for rapid weight gain. Craving of the week is fried chicken and mashed potato's my wonderful husband drove a extra 20 mins on his way home to procure me some!! I also seem to have some energy back and am feeling a bit better.

Camping with the boys

So this weekend was the word camp out and i decided i would take the boys myself and see how it goes. We borrowed a tent from Cory and Rob we stoped at there place to pick it up on our way to the camp site. We always say hi to teddy there dog and he loves my kids well Rob put him in his house so they could go with me and set up the tent for me. As we are getting ready to head out a scream and a dog bark scares us all Max had been leaning in to the dog house and was bitten on the face. We where already half way to the camp site and it was not looking to bad we also have like 20 doctors in our word so i packed him up and headed to the camp site. As we arrived Max passed out and there where 5 doctors on hand when we arrived they all assessed him and said he would be fine keep it clean to avoid infection. Max ran like a animal all over the camp site and had a great time! We roasted hot dags for dinner and smores for desert. When bed time came it turned bad Max was not in to sleeping in the tent and his face started to swell and hurt after asking all the parents that where awake around 12am for Tylenol and having no luck. We walked and looked at the stares it was time to rest he fell asleep for about a hour and was up screaming for a hour i finally gave up and drove home. We headed back out to the camp site to get our things and have breakfast. Max was still cranky and i had no sleep. Max is still cranky after a 3 hour nap. Thanks mom for being up at 2 am my time!!!

The children sciences museum is the best place for the kids to play. BUT............ not so much for Max if any of you have spent time with him in the past year you know what i am talking about! I lost him at least 10 times and he is fast. I was not alone in the search my friend Tanya was with me and it was a 15 min endeavor to find Max happily playing without us. Max is a ninja he can even out run and dive his daddy on most days and i have really turned in to a slow fatty and can not catch him as well as a use to. Here are a few pictures i was able to take when he was not running ramped through the museum alone. The overall experience is awesome and Max really does love it there its just not as relaxing and fun for me. What we need is some Grandmas so run around in there with ;)

We got a package in the mail from nana and papbri the boys where so excited Max tried to put his on right away unfortunately he did it feet first and made it in to a skirt. I painted my toes and max's ( cant do mine without doing max's). Andrew was excited to get help with school supplies they are very expensive.

Adiens 1st Day of School

Today is Adiens first day in 1st grade! He was so excited to go and see all his friends and to see a little girl named princesses he was trying to figure out what she looks like. Adien's teacher is new to teaching this is her first class, Adien thinks she is cute. Max wanted to stay with Adien at school he had his back pack and everything!

summer rain

I love the weather here this is a storm rolling in. the winds picked up the temperature drooped and the thunder rolled in the with lightning and down came the rain. When it rains it rains large hard drops and lots of them! The storms are loud here and wake the boys at night with the monsteruse clacks of thunder. Today as the storm was rolling in the boys and i put the pool out to see if we will have a full pool for swimming!

So 2 posts ago lol i said we where having no luck with the pregnancy,well hahahah i am 4 1/2 weeks pregnant! I was totally ok with it not happening this month because we where moving and Max got really sick. My progesterone lvls are low so to avoid miscarriage i am taking 400 mg of Prometrium for the next month and a half. My body of course reacted to pregnancy right away haha so i am droping lbs but not getting smaller. We will keep ya update along with pictures!

Fun Day out side

Today was so nice me and the boys played soccer in the back yard. I know what your saying the ball is as big as he is! We also had a bbq at church and the boys played valley ball, been bag toss and balloon rockets and still stopped to eat a hot dog and some chips. I tried to relax but Max is a animal and will run off to the street the woods he does not care he has no fear. So i spent most of my time doing walk by chatting and siting with other moms that had wild children also. The great thing about us moms in that category is we can chat with out looking at each other because we both are looking in other directions count our kids. In other news i get to sub in nursery this Sunday and Andrew has been worked to the bone he is at work now he has been there for 14 hours already :( he also is still in pain with the injury from the move. We also have had no luck in the baby making area but who has time? Not us ! Well we have only been at it for 3 months Max took 6 months so thats my time frame.

Splash Pad Fun!

We have found many wanders here in Iowa that have made our summer exciting! We have a lovely wooded area in the center of town a cool museum for kids and a indoor play gym thats cheep. Today we discovered this great splash pad with a playground and a really cool covered picnic area made out of recycled stuff in a Earth theme. There also is a garden to walk in a huge patch of grass to run on. Poor Max still has double ear infections so i put wax in his ears so he could play also.

My poor baby! I am sure most of you know by now that max is sick and have seen this picture on my facebook. Max is allergic to Augmentin or the z-pack they are not sure witch because he had them back to back for a double ear infection. Andrew is also allergic to both of those antibiotics so it would be safe to say that Max is just like his daddy :( and to top it all off he still has the stupid double ear infection!!!! SO a quick recap of my week moved, Andrew hurt his knee, i twisted my ankle, Max got hives, and i unpacked the house, And the cable company messed up my net. Adien is the only one that had a great week!I think its safe to say i need a vacation.

Everything is moved and in the new place! poor Andrew dislodged his knee cap in the move and has to have a strait leg thing going on and he cant go upstairs hahah guess he is sleeping on the sofa.I have managed to unpack and organize our hole house despite the set back of a sick baby and injuries. So for your viewing plessure heres the down stairs.

After a great accomplishment as making totally cute pillows i decided that both boys need hair cuts. Now i am the worst person in the world at cutting boys hair and i have tried it several times. The boy where good sorts and sad up great and i think the hair cuts come out pretty awesome! All this great accomplishments and yet my house still looks like a tornado come through. 3 more days tell the move so excited!!

Today i was feeling a little crafty so i thought about some of the pictures i need to scrapbook and i just was not feeling it. I ran some earns with my friends Cory and Rob we love to make trips to walmart a adventure lol. The fabric section was calling to me so i headed right over! I found a fun Cars fleas fabric that Max loved. I garbed it up on sale and some stuffing and made cute pillows for the boys!

And for whatever reason my pictures will not stay where i want them so you have to read the post backwards i would fix it but Andrews playing his online game and every time i load a picture he dies, hummmm i think theirs something to this :)

So we all know how cool star wars is and how big it is in my home. This is Adiens first time showing off his new cool toy. Like always Max is there to help demonstrate.We where also lucky to have the missionary over for the showing lol.

And in other news they have started the work on our new place the boys where so excited Adien has never been in it so i took him over for a walk through the painters where at lunch and had left the door unlocked luck us!We will be making the big move on the 27th so emails will go out on the new address!

Now i know what you are all thinking how am i going to deal with Max on the stares is he going to fall or even jump off them! To this i say he will do all and more i am sure hes a animal. I did invest in a new baby gate that he has not seen yet so it will take a few weeks for him to break through. But heirs a lovely video to put your minds at some ease.

Max loves spaghetti! This is a new food of choice for him but its a great one. He ate almost all of his food the parts he did not eat where stuck on his belly face and head a few survived on his tray. I was supper excited about this photo opportunity because i have this fabulous spaghetti scrapbook paper i am just dieing to play with. Know only if i could find some embellishments.
